A Dublin rights house for the screen life of independent books.
Aisling Transmedia represents independently published authors and rights holders who retain control of the rights they are offering. Film, television, audio, stage, and the rest of the map — from a family of author businesses that have been in Dublin for more than a decade.
The family
Two sites, long running, sit with this one. Aisling is new as a rights house. The people and the practice are not.
Twelve years
International Dublin Writers’ Festival
Since 2015 we have run the International Dublin Writers’ Festival — a meeting place for writers from Ireland and beyond to pitch work, sit with agents and editors, and develop what they have on the page. Workshops, talks, public pitch sessions, and a room full of people who actually make books. In 2026 the festival is at Trinity College Dublin. We are a partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors.

BooksGoSocial
Founded in 2013, BooksGoSocial is the advertising and promotion house. We have managed ads for authors since 2014 — Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, and the rest of the reader-facing map — so independently published work can find a wider international audience. Editing, design, and video sit beside the campaigns. More than ten thousand authors have come through the door.

This house
Aisling is an Irish word for a vision — a dream that arrives fully formed. Transmedia is the rest of the map. We take independently held work, verify the chain of title, and introduce it to people who can option it. Authors keep copyright. We take a commission only when a deal closes.
We do not list a title until the chain of title for the offered rights is on file. Independently held means independently verified.

The people
Laurence O’Bryan
Founder · Rights & Acquisitions
Laurence started BooksGoSocial in 2013 after being traditionally published by HarperCollins in the US and UK, and translated into ten languages. He spent more than twenty-five years in IT marketing and was Director of the College of Digital Marketing in Dublin. He founded the International Dublin Writers’ Festival, and Aisling Transmedia is the rights house of the same family.
Tanja Slijepčević
Operations manager
Tanja studied publishing and joined BooksGoSocial in 2015. She keeps promotions moving — the correspondence, the calendar, the quiet work that makes a campaign land. When she is not reading or answering authors, she trains in martial arts.
Jacqui Corn-Uys
Editing services manager
Jacqui works with new and established authors on story, grammar, punctuation, and the finished file. She holds a BA (cum laude) in Linguistics and Psychology, is certified in editing and proofreading through the SA Writer’s Academy, and is a member of the Professional Editors’ Guild.
Mirna Gilman
Graphic and video editor
Mirna joined in 2015. She looks after graphic design and video for the house, and draws toward children’s picture books in her own time. Books, illustration, and the look of a title on a screen are her brief.
