Aisling Transmedia is not a marketplace. It is a small Dublin rights house. We take on few titles, clear the chain of title, and introduce the work to people who can actually option it.
What we look for
Independently held
We specialise in independently published authors and rights holders who retain control of the rights they are offering.
A life beyond the page
We read for adaptation: a world, a voice, a plot that can stand a camera, a microphone, or a stage without collapsing.
A finished work
Completed manuscripts only. We do not shop proposals, partials, or ideas.
The appointment
Accepted authors appoint Aisling Transmedia as exclusive representative of the specified rights they offer — typically film, television, and any other rights named on the listing.
An initial term of twenty-four months, renewable by written agreement.
Fifteen percent of option and purchase consideration for the rights we represent. No reading fee. Nothing is due unless a deal closes.
The author keeps copyright and every right not named in the appointment. Every option or purchase is subject to the author’s written approval.
Chain of title
We do not list a title until the chain of title for the offered rights is on file. Independently held means independently verified.

Holdership
We confirm the submitting party is the author, the rights holder, or holds an exclusive grant to offer the rights named.

Publication record
We review the independent publication (or reversion), ISBN where it exists, and any prior edition history the author declares.

Encumbrances
We require a declaration of prior options, agents, or outstanding claims. A live exclusive grant elsewhere is a decline.

Warranty
The representation agreement includes a warranty of title. We list only after that warranty is signed.
Option, then purchase
An option is a paid exclusive window — typically twelve to eighteen months — in which a producer may develop the work. You keep copyright. They pay for time.
A purchase transfers the specified rights (film, television, audio, and so on) for an agreed term and territory. Anything not named stays with you.
